Nell'ambito di TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit) nato a Genova dalla collaboarzione con ON e DISFOR (Università di Genova) ON ha invitato Danilo Correale a confrontarsi con TEU per produrre un video risultato di un lungo processo di studio del contesto portuale locale e glocale e di relazione sinergica con le ricerche portate avanti dai sociologi del DISFOR. "Equivalent Units" è il risultato di un' esplorazione all’interno delle complessità del lavoro portuale osservato attraverso lo stesso occhio inquieto della merce nel suo viaggio. Un obbiettivo in continuo movimento, astratto, che solo a tratti riesce a fermarsi ed interrogarsi sul rapporto affettivo che ancora lega l’uomo e quello che rimane della merce nell’ era della sua containerizzazione. 

Within the framework of TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit) born in Genoa from the collaboration between ON and DISFOR (University of Genoa), ON invited Danilo Correale to confront TEU to produce a video result of a long process of studying the port form local and glocal perspective and working on synergistic relationship with the research carried out by the sociologists of DISFOR. "Equivalent Unit" is the result of an exploration within the complexity of the port labour observed through the same restless eye of the commodity in its journey. A continuous, abstract, lens that only sometimes can stop and interrogate on the affective relationship which still binds man and what remains of goods in the era of its containerization.
